Kintsugi

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum. As a philosophy, it treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise. This documentary project is based on true events of a woman surviving a stalker attack and 100 ft free fall from a 7-story parking structure; her struggles, the aftermath, and heroic recovery. Shot on both traditional camera and X-ray machine.
